Virtual Teacher Training Partnership

After School Vocational Training Programs

Two 40ft Containers for Classrooms

The Beyond Remittance Group, BRG has adopted Simawa High School in Nigeria. Following the success of the summer program pilot in July/August, BRG has entered into an MOU agreement with the State government to continue our Public-Private-Partnership education intervention initiative. We are taking baby steps toward achieving our vision to create education equity in Africa focusing on primary and secondary school education. We are relieved and excited that the Nigerian government is receptive to our proposal to collaborate. The average class size in the public school system in Nigeria is 100 to 1, students-teacher ratio. This is exactly the situation in Simawa High School that we just adopted. Your support is urgently needed and would be greatly appreciated.
Beyond Remittance is a Group of Africans in the diaspora who share the view that sustainable development can be best achieved by investing directly in the people. We are committed to redirect a % of the diaspora’s annual remittances into Africa’s economy creating knowledge based jobs and real and lasting economic growth.
Recent studies show that the major challenge institutions of learning face in the 21st Century is how to best prepare students for a rapidly changing technology-driven global economy. The informed consensus on tackling the problem is by investing in educators, ensuring that teachers are able to acquire the skills and knowledge including the tools and resources needed to produce globally competitive students and professionals. To this end, teachers’ training is the core priority of BRG’s education intervention scheme, in concert with class size reduction.
An important component of BRG’s framework is to build on the existing education infrastructure in Africa/Nigeria and collaborate with public-private stakeholders and the grassroots community (parents, students, teachers) to ensure the program’s success.
BRG is seeking  partnership in various capacities to help improve the overall education experience and navigate a desired future pathway for Simawa High School class of 2025.
